Class of 1984

Class of 1984

Far and away one of our favorite possessions, the Eagle ’84 is just bursting with amazing and inspiring images. I’ve included the whole senior class in this post but the clubs, homecoming court, underclassmen and candid photos are equally amazing though, sadly, not in full color.

We picked this up on eBay a number of years ago, it originally belonged to a girl named Alice who (as you’ll see in the final two images), everyone found very… nice. Nearly everyone who signed Alice’s yearbook refers to her as a ‘nice’ or ‘sweet’ girl, which is kind of a pulls on my heart stings a little… oh well, she was in like 9th grade at the time so I’m sure by ’88 Alice bloomed. Enjoy!

This is really incredible. Barry and Larry Hunter the twins are the best, but it’s so close.

I love how Donald Hunter sits in between the twins, it’s an amazing triptych that I’d love to blow up and hang on the wall.

You’re all missing the best part. Almost everyone says she is a nice girl. Then you have to look for alice smith. She is a nice girl…hahahahaha!

What’s with the side view that seems to be popular with the ladies?

That is not the Alice they are referring to, this is the senior class and they are wishing Alice luck in her future years at the HS so she is an underclassman.

BTW, please post more of the yearbook, better I look at this one then check out my own from 1982 🙂 , after this post I am really scared to look for my yearbooks.

Why does everyone sign AFA? I’ve searched and can’t find an answer. A friend always? I guess this is telling to say the least. I wasn’t born until Alice’s senior year of high school.

i like robert meek, he should probably have started a band and changed the direction of music..only because he looks like he would be a really cool psychedelic front man…

[…] first these images may not seem quite as magical as those culled from one of my favorite objects ever. But give it some time, scroll down past the Homecoming Court photos to the candids and I think […]
