Sometimes good typography stands all it’s own as a great cover, as an example in this old math text book I have from 1881.
Like most American kids, I had to read the Great Gatsby in Jr. High. I didn’t much care for reading in those days, but I loved the cover of this paperback edition we were given. If we had been quizzed about the details in the illustration, I would have gotten an A for sure!
