Evidently high fashion looked to leisure activities such as skiing and tennis for inspiration, with utterly disturbing results. Pucci, who I have always admired for their tessellation design and criticized for their poor implementation of said repeats, was a major culprit in this odd abstraction of rich people fun.

150$ in 1979 was a lot for a ski suit. About 875$ in 2009 using the Relative GDP Calculator.  Let’s be realistic though, I’d pay any amount to ski near that fella, yowza!

    It actually remind me of the bondage mask Big Ed from Twin Peaks wears around the house in Wes Craven’s ‘The People Under the Stairs’; has anyone seen that recently? Don’t do it!

    I love this. I really love it. I would love to wear it. I am not sure what this says of my taste, particularly under these comments. Nevertheless…..
