So, I play a little World of Warcraft from time to time. I run around with my little dude and kill things and stuff. Some of that stuff involves selling virtual items for virtual gold on the “auction house”. Much to my surprise, (and delight), I was sent this gem of an in-game email from another player scolding me for not selling my virtual herb, “whiptail”, for enough virtual gold. FAIL!

envelope

This letter, dated Dec. 20, 1875 and addressed to Captain Hamilton of the Royal Artillery, was found in an antique writing box my mom bought from a flea market in Abbots Ripton, Huntingdonshire. I can’t make out much of what the letter says, but from what I can surmise, it is very dull indeed.

a-daredevila-dukes-mixture

I found these on a website that no longer exists. A second-grade teacher posted some of his students’ work. I think these drawings were illustrations of different expressions that people sometimes use. These two drawings were for “daredevil” and “a duke’s mixture.”
