Ah crackers in bed. Sometimes over time, people’s sense of humor just changes. yes we can all still laugh at laurel and hardy or an old buster keaton movie, but the jokes from “crackers in bed” are not among those ranks. Such as this one: ‘ “Is that you dear?” called the wife, as her husband tiptoed up the stairs. “It had better be me” he answered’. Whoa! Boy do my sides ache after that one!
Or perhaps this visual gag below that I still can’t make heads of tails over. What’s a seasoned vacuum? Did they advertise those on the dumont network? Was it common for houses in the 1950s to not have electricity in the US? hmmm…..

Vacuum cleaner salesmen would dump dirt on a floor to show how good there product was. no electric =no vac! He will now as we said in the day “have to eat crow” !!! ;-]
